World Series of Poker
2011: Records Tumble.
Who said the poker had lost its
appeal? The 2011
World Series of Poker (WSOP) is now official the biggest in its 42 year
history. This year saw a massive entry list of 75,672, players coming
from more
than 100 countries for the 58 events which were held at the Rio
All-Suite Hotel
& Casino Las Vegas. This even after, some may say, the darkest day
in poker
history – known as “Black Friday”.
A very impressive increase of 3.7% on the previous record of 72,966, which was set last year, as just about every event recorded greater numbers or, at worst, a small decline on previous years.

For some poker
players, this question is of no importance. Why would
you care how you're winning just as long as you're winning, right?
Wrong. While it is true that the most important part of poker is
winning, the "why" behind the win is equally as important. If you
want
to repeatedly win at poker, you'll need to know how you achieved your
wins in the first place. Whether poker is a game of skill or chance is
a question often asked. Of course, gambling relies on luck but good
judgement will always boost your success.
